We can say then that agility is equivalent to performing a motor task in an effective and efficient way where there is a great neural demand (proprioception, kinesthesia, coordination, rhythm, orientation, etc, etc.) Our society and its context has made us a comfortable species, which dispenses of the physical effort prior to the satisfaction of basic needs ... This hypokinesia arouses atrophic conditions of our body and increases its dysfunction. Evolutively speaking, our body is able to adapt easily to the context, then, as a result of the market’s constant supply for an “easy life", countless degenerative conditions appear.... we are adapting to motor immobility. This adaptability (to any situation) requires physiological/anatomical, cognitive/psychological, and emotional processes. Then, rethinking the paradigms of physical activity from the perspectives of "training and physical conditioning for health" is imperative, because it is not about creating a new fitness trend, it is about regaining those lost movement patterns.
